Why don't the AI features (Spark ideas / Polish) work on my phone?
Ideabolt's AI features — Spark ideas, Polish, and Find similar — run on Apple's on-device Foundation Models. They require an Apple Intelligence-capable iPhone (iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 16, or iPhone 17 family) with Apple Intelligence turned on in Settings. On other devices, those AI buttons stay unavailable, but the rest of Ideabolt — capturing ideas, hashtags, favorites, search, the streak, and the calendar heatmap — works fully.
Is my data private?
Yes. Everything you create in Ideabolt stays on your device. The app makes no network calls, uses no analytics, and the AI runs entirely on-device and offline. Nothing you write is ever sent to us or to any third party.
Do I need an account?
No. There's no account, no sign-in, and no setup. Open the app and start capturing ideas.
Does it cost anything?
Ideabolt is free to download. A one-time Pro unlock for the AI features may come in a later version, but the core journal will always be free.
How do I delete my data?
Delete the app from your device — that removes everything. Because all your data lives only on your device and we hold nothing, there's nothing for us to delete on our end. You can also delete individual ideas inside the app at any time.
